The winter demon receded today, like the tide.
And left me with avocados and grapefruits.

Also–
endless hills of lavender,
eucalyptus,
and lemons.

The place where the sparkling glass bottles, rusty wheels
And retro boutique linens lie
Was filled with memories–Betty Crocker style.

… And then the sea mist moved back in.
